Key Joint Studies

•Understand relationship between coronal and interplanetary type II bursts •Use trajectories to understand the geometry of the magnetic field into which CMEs propagate •Locate shock/magnetic field geometry of particle acceleration region

•Understand role of “seed particles” in SEP events

•Increase ability to predict occurrence/severity of SEP events.

These studies will REQUIRE joint

FASR/LOFAR/SIRA observations.
