Frequency Range of Coherent Radio Emission
(decimeter bursts)
Above about 300 MHz the typical metric bursts change
  - Type I, II and V disappear
  - Type III narrowband, reverse drift
  - Type IV fine structure, short duration patches
New types appear:
  - narrowband spikes
  - pulsations
Frequency upper limit of coherent bursts:
  - Levin et al. (1994): detection of „steps“ 8 – 12 GHz
  - Phoenix-2 10 – 12 GHz: 1100 hours, 322 flares, no event
  - AOS observations 10 – 12 GHz :  200 hours, 72 flares, no event
