•SEP CMEs are very fast

(> 900km/s)

•They occur west of E45

•The largest bin is 90+: 21% of SEP events à can be imaged in microwaves


	This slide shows the speed and longitudinal distribution of SEP-associated CMEs of cycle 23. There were 43 major and 39 minor EP events that had overlap with SOHO observations. About half a dozen more events were omitted because they occurred during SOHO down times.
