System procedures and references¶
This is the curated directory for public EOVSA system documentation. It brings together procedures that otherwise live under several subject tabs. Use Search for a specific command or symptom, and use the complete archive for migrated historical material that is not listed here.
Check before changing the system
Some pages were migrated from the original wiki and may contain historical steps. Confirm hardware-changing, service-changing, or access-related work against the current authorized internal runbook and the deployed system. Credentials and private access details are not published here.
Calibration¶
Start with the calibration directory or choose a procedure:
| Procedure | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Delay calibration | Re-establishing coarse, fine, and X–Y delays, particularly after correlator/ROACH restarts or relevant hardware changes. |
| Pointing calibration | Measuring and updating antenna pointing. |
| Total-power calibration | Calibrating total-power measurements. |
| System-gain calibration | Measuring gain states and attenuation behavior. |
| Antenna position and baseline calibration | Determining antenna position and baseline corrections. |
| Reference-gain calibration | Establishing reference complex gains. |
| Daily-gain calibration | Producing the daily phase/gain calibration. |
| Polarization calibration | Correcting polarization response and mixing. |
| Calibrator survey | Selecting and evaluating calibration sources. |
| Practical calibration tutorial | Following an end-to-end worked calibration example. |
The calibration overview explains how these measurements relate to one another.

Material outside this public directory¶
The local migration contains additional Markdown pages that remain available through All migrated pages and site search. Many are observing logs, redirects, older tutorials, individual working notes, or historical procedures, so listing all of them as current system guidance would be misleading.
The separate internal EOVSA Operations Knowledge Hub contains maintained architecture, diagnostics, incident reports, deployment procedures, service operations, and recovery runbooks. Those documents require an explicit public review before any sanitized portion is added here; they are not copied into the public site automatically.
